 It was in 2008 when Travis Kalanick and Garrett Camp were going to a meeting in Paris. One evening during the meeting, the pair was searching for a taxi, however they couldn't see as any, which caused them to understand that finding a ride when required is very much a problem, and any innovation that will facilitate the cycle will clearly be a hit.

In mid 2010, UberCab's administration was first tried in New York with only 3 taxis. In May 2010, UberCab was authoritatively sent off in San Francisco.
